Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Does Permission Guard upload my browsing history?

No. Its core permission-management data and activity history are designed to remain in browser extension storage on your device.

Does Permission Guard replace Chrome's own permission prompts?

No. Chrome remains the final authority for sensitive permissions. Permission Guard adds visibility, explanations, monitoring and additional controls around those browser mechanisms.

Why does Permission Guard need browser permissions?

Permissions are used for features such as inspecting site permission states, monitoring supported navigation or download activity, saving local rules, and auditing installed extensions.

How do I remove locally stored Permission Guard data?

Use Permission Guard's built-in clear or reset controls. Uninstalling the extension also removes extension-managed storage according to your browser's behavior.

When will Permission Guard be available?

The first public release is being prepared for the Chrome Web Store. The homepage will be updated when it is available.
